Clemson Falls 64-57 at Virginia on Tuesday
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Clemson University men’s basketball fell to No. 13/12 Virginia on Tuesday night by a final score of 64-57.
The Tigers (21-9, 13-6 ACC) were led by 36 points and 18 rebounds combined from Hunter Tyson (Monroe, N.C./Piedmont) and PJ Hall (Spartanburg, S.C./Dorman). Tyson finished with 17 and nine and Hall totaled 19 and nine.
A 17-2 run by the Cavaliers (22-6, 14-5 ACC) in the first half opened up a double-digit lead for Virginia, but they would lead by just five after the opening stanza.
Clemson would shoot 51.9 percent from the field in the second half and would trail just 60-55 with 26 seconds remaining but would not overcome.
The Tigers return home on Saturday, March 4 to host Notre Dame and their Senior Day celebration. The game will tipoff at 8 p.m. and will air on ACCN.
