Swinney Camp Week 2: Tuesday AM Notes
Top-rated quarterback Brock Vandagriff from the 2021 class is expected in Clemson today. The Tigers have yet to offer Vandagriff, but that's not unusual as we mentioned in our post earlier today. Three wide receivers we have been tracking will visit, including E.J. Williams from Phenix City, Alabama. Clemson has made Central High School a top priority in recent years, landing both Justyn Ross and Ray Thornton recently. Williams is a member of the 2020 cycle.Clemson will also get another look at Xzavier Henderson as well. Henderson is a great looking prospect at the wideout position. The Tigers will also host the son of NFL star Marvin Harrison today, Marvin Harrison Jr. The 2021 wideout from Pennsylvania makes a stop to check out WRU. The biggest problem I see with Harrison is that Tiger fans will have to be reminded of the 41-0 beatdown Harrison and Donovan McNabb (then quarterback at Syracuse) put on Clemson in the 1996 Gator Bowl. Harrison caught seven receptions for 173 yards and two touchdowns in his final college game. Yuck!

National Average Rating

The National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a Clemson Sports Talk rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the Clemson Sports Talk Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide Clemson Sports Talk readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.

Example #1

If the predicted school is Clemson and confidence is set to “High”, then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Clemson and I feel very certain about that.”

Example #2

If the predicted school is “Alabama” and confidence is set to “Low,” then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Alabama, but I’m not very certain about that.”
