As Hurricane Florence approaches, Clemson's athletic department has announced a time change for this Saturday's game between Clemson and Georiga Southern.

The game was originally planned for a 3:30 p.m. start but has now been moved to noon, the University announced Wednesday afternoon.

Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney said earlier this morning on the ACC teleconference that he didn't think the game would be postponed and that the team would in fact play.

"Clemson University officials continue to work with emergency management personnel, the ACC Office and Georgia Southern officials this week in preparation for Hurricane Florence and how it may alter operations for the game on Saturday," the announcement read.

"As the storm continues to be monitored, additional updates will be distributed by the athletic department."

Just like Clemson's 2017 opener against Auburn, fans are being encouraged to get to campus early, expect more delays in gameday traffic operations, and try to be patient getting to and from campus.

Plans for the ESPN television broadcast of the game are still being determined and will be communicated once finalized.
