Strengths

Bedier has tremendous film. He has a terrific motor, plays through the whistle, is really physical in the run game, shows great balance and footwork in pass protection, and has really good technique/hand placement for a JUCO prospect. He does so many things well and he will have the chance to compete for the starting spot this spring. The fact that he early enrolled will pay off big time as well. Baylor is expecting him to make an immediate impact so the fact that he came early will allow him to put on the necessary weight and get a feel for the offense. For an offensive lineman, even a JUCO, this is really important to seeing the field early.

Weaknesses

When I first saw his film I was a little concerned with height and weight but he is actually perfect size at 6’5 295. He has put on about 10 pounds since he got to Baylor. He has only played football for two years and was a walk on at Snow College for the spring till he earned the scholarship. This can be used as a strength or a weakness. Since he is expected to play early the fact that he has so little experience may make it difficult early but it also makes his potential go up so high since he has so much room to grow from a repetition perspective. Adjusting to the competition will take some time as well but hopeful that gets taken care of during the spring.

How I see him fitting in at Baylor

I think he will start at one of the tackle positions this next year. He is ready for this opportunity but it will be a fight because Connor Galvin and Jake Fruhmorgen are also vying for those tackle spots. Bedier will be a very good one and one that will have the opportunity to be a legit NFL prospect before he leaves Baylor.

Rating Explained

He is one of the most game ready JUCO prospects on the offensive line that I have ever seen. His film is a terrific blend of run blocking and pass protection. He got Missouri, Utah, Arizona, and West Virginia offers as soon as he blew up and other schools wanted him to visit but the Bears held on.

National Average Rating

The National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a Clemson Sports Talk rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the Clemson Sports Talk Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide Clemson Sports Talk readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.
