Trevor Lawrence injured in Jaguars matchup with Bengals

December 4, 2023

In his 46th consecutive start in Jacksonville, Trevor Lawrence went down with what looked like a serious injury with 5:43 left in a 28-28 ball game with Cincinnati. Lawrence’s ankle was inadvertently stepped on by offensive lineman Walker Little. Then the franchise quarterback fell awkwardly to the turf in visible pain.

After trying to take a few steps, Lawrence pounded the ground with his fist and threw his helmet to the turf in frustration. Initially, the former No. 1 pick grabbed at his ankle.

The fans in Jacksonville went dead silent when Lawrence couldn’t walk off on his own. Lawrence was assisted off the field and hobbled to the locker room with several shots of him on television making his way back into the tunnels at EverBank Stadium.

Lawrence was soon listed as “questionable” to return to the game with an ankle injury. Reports have since come out that it is an ankle sprain and he is expected to have an MRI on Tuesday.

We will update this story as soon as we know more about Lawrence’s injury.
