Dillon Alfred‍, a talented four-star wide receiver from Saraland High School, has shaken up his recruitment by decommitting from Ole Miss earlier today.

The 5'11, 170-pound standout made the announcement on Twitter, and less than an hour after the news broke, Alfred posted that he received an offer from Clemson.

Alfred, who is rated as one of the top receivers in the 2025 class, shared his excitement posting, "#AGTG After a great conversation with @Coach_Grisham, I’m blessed to receive an offer from @ClemsonFB!!!"

Alfred’s decommitment is a significant loss for Ole Miss, which also saw fellow four-star wide receiver Jerome Myles and defensive end Corey Amos exit their recruiting class on the same day. The trio's departure is a blow to the Rebels, who are now left scrambling to fill key positions in their 2025 class.

Alfred was on Clemson’s campus back in June and has this highlight from his visit pinned on his Twitter account.

Clemson's offer to Alfred underscores the Tigers' intent to bolster their receiving corps. Coach Tyler Grisham’s pitch clearly resonated with Alfred, who is now exploring new opportunities in his recruitment process.

It might also underscore how Clemson feels about their position with wideout Cortez Mills‍ as we move towards the fall. Mills has noted the Tigers as one of his top two schools but visited LSU last weekend, which caught some observers off guard.

We’ve spoken with Mills recently and will give an update from him in the coming days. We also have updates on 2026 wideouts Samari Matthews‍ and Cederian Morgan‍ for our CST+ Subscribers coming in the next few days! Lock in now for just $1.00!
