Tonight during the NBA's All-Star Weekend, former Clemson Tiger Larry Nance helped his son, and current Cleveland Cavalier Larry Nance Jr. during the 2018 Slam Dunk Contest.

Nance was the 20th pick in the 1981 NBA draft by the Phoenix Suns. He finished his career with the Cavaliers. He spent 13 seasons in the NBA and was a three-time All-Star.

Nance won the first dunk contest in 1984 over Dr. J and Dominique Wilkins. Watch some of that contest here.

In addition to having his father participate in the contest, Nance Jr. channeled his dad's time as the NBA's best dunker by wearing a throwback uniform and copying a classic dunk in the late stages of the contest.

Nance Jr. didn't bring home the title as Donovan Mitchell pulled off a 360 windmill dunk, wearing a Vince Carter jersey in the final round.
