Good afternoon everyone! Clemson will look to bounce back from last week's loss against Louisville here in just a few minutes on the road in Blacksburg. This is the first of back-to-back road games for the Tigers -- today against the Hokies and next weekend against Pitt.

Clemson has won the toss and will defer until the 2nd half. For those watching at home, the game is on ESPNNews until the conclusion of Georgia Tech-Miami. Miami is trailing 28-23 late with 1:52 to play.

GA Tech is going to pull the upset of Miami. What a win for Brent Key and the Jackets.

Tigers have it on their first possession as the game moves to ESPN.

Clemson gets a third down conversion from Antonio Williams, but back-to-back penalties will set the Tigers back with a holding on a run play from Mafah.

Cade Klubnik is picked off on a bad decision on third down. Should've just thrown it away there. Hokies will have it first down with 5:49 to play in the first quarter. No score in Blacksburg.

Clemson goes for it on 4th and 2 and Cade Klubnik is sacked. Two drives inside VT territory and no points. Hokies did get away with a grab of Wesco on the 4th down.

That will end the first quarter: Clemson and Virginia Tech are scoreless.

Cade Klubnik tries to hit Wesco up on the deep ball but not only does the pass fall incomplete, but Phil Mafah is penalized for an illegal chop block.

The Tigers punt and the Hokies have the ball with 9:54 to play before the half, trailing 7-0.

The Tigers decide to pooch punt the ball with Klubnik and he shanks it. Not sure why you don't just punt with your punter there.

HALFTIME | Virginia Tech 7, Clemson 0

Tigers will get the ball to start the second half -- it has not been a pretty first half as Clemson has gotten into Virginia Tech territory multiple times, but they have no points to show for it. Clemson's defense is keeping the Tigers in the game. The biggest blunder is obviously the blocked field goal for a score.

Clemson comes out of the locker room with a nice 8-play, 60 yard drive, culminating with a 29-yard TD from Cade Klubnik to Cole Turner to tie the game at 7. Klubnik got involved in the run game quite a bit on that last series.

We have 11:25 remaining in the third quarter.

Wow! Cade Klubnik escapes a sack and he keeps his eyes downfield to find a wide open TJ Moore for a 43-yard score to give the Tigers their first lead of the night. That will be on SportsCenter tonight.

Sammy Brown with the sack of Kyron Drones on the scramble. Momentum is on the Tigers' side right now as the Hokies are forced to punt.

Clemson gets the ball back with 5:54 to play in the third quarter, leading 14-7.

What a play by Ashton Hampton on the interception -- somehow he brought it in one handed. He got beat for a first down catch on the play earlier.

Tigers with the ball now deep in their own territory with 3:42 and counting in the third quarter, up 14-7.

Touchdown Clemson. Cade Klubnik connects with Jake Briningstool from 12 yards out in the flat and he makes a few man miss on his way to the endzone.

That was a long 10-play, 93 yard drive to give the Tigers a 21-7 lead with 13:08 to play in the contest. Best drive of the day and of the last two games right there.

The 34-yard field goal from Nolan Hauser is GOOD. Clemson fans and coaches can breathe a sigh of relief from the blocked kick earlier.

Touchdown Virginia Tech. Ayden Greene scores the Hokies' first offensive touchdown to cap a 13-play, 75-yard scoring drive to draw them closer with 1:43 to play in the contest. Clemson leads 24-14.

Clemson scores 24 points in the second half. Cade Klubnik tosses 3 touchdowns and 211 yards. The defense, outside of the one touchdown late has a great game with a major improvement against the run and bounces back from the loss last week against Louisville. Clemson is back on the road next week against Pitt at noon.
