Two-Seed Clemson Faces 11-Seed Cal in ACC Semifinals
CLEMSON, S.C. – For the sixth-consecutive season, Clemson men’s soccer (13-2-3, 5-2-1 ACC) is set to make an appearance in the ACC Tournament semifinals, after downing Stanford, 1-0, on Sunday afternoon. The Tigers will take on ACC-newcomer Cal (8-7-2, 2-4-2 ACC) in the second of two semifinal matchups at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, N.C. on Thursday. Kickoff on the ACC Network is set for 8:00 p.m.
Alex Meinhard netted his 10th goal of the season to advance the No. 2 seed Tigers past Stanford, 1-0. Cal upset three-seed Duke, 2-0, in Durham on Sunday to advance to its first ACC semifinal.
