Clemson's Grantham "ahead of schedule" for his return to basketball
Yesterday afternoon Gabe DeVoe, Mark Donnal, and Donte Grantham sat down with the media to talk about the Senior Day matchup with Georgia Tech.
You can watch the video above to hear what each player had to say, but we wanted to highlight a few things from Grantham's conversation as he gave us an update on how his knee is progressing.
How his knee rehab is going: |
"Good. On a weekly basis, I'm getting stronger. It's hard to see progression day to day, but when I go week to week, it's crazy. Every day I'm getting stronger, but I just take it week by week getting stronger. I'm ahead of schedule, so it's going good."
On the timeline to getting back on the court: |
"Non-contact, I'll be able to do at the and of May. August 1st is basically when I can play full contact again."
What it will be like to participate in Senior Day: |
"It's going to be sad, but great. Like you said, all the memories of Littlejohn. The highs, the lows that we had, just playing on a team with my teammates. It's going to be sad, but a happy moment too."
Memories of his time at Clemson: |
"A lot of it is this year. I've had so much fun with this team that we have now. Not just because we are winning, but it's a bunch of good guys. We are just having a lot of fun this year."
