Gordon Sellars Commits to Clemson Over Gamecocks, Georgia, Ohio State, Michigan

Clemson added another major piece to its 2026 recruiting class Friday as four-star wide receiver Gordon Sellars‍ announced his commitment to the Tigers, choosing Dabo Swinney’s program over Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State, South Carolina and North Carolina A&T (FCS).

Sellars, from Providence Day School in Charlotte, N.C., is ranked the No. 25 wide receiver nationally by ESPN. His commitment bolsters a Clemson receiver group that’s quietly building one of the fastest and most athletic units in the country.

The 6-foot-3, 185-pound Sellars becomes the third wideout in Clemson’s class, joining fellow four-stars Naeem Burroughs‍ (5'11, 175) and Connor Salmin‍ (6'1, 190) —both known for their elite top-end speed. While Sellars brings a bit more size to the table, he’s no slouch in the speed department either.

According to his X (formerly Twitter) account, he’s been clocked at a blazing 4.38 seconds in the 40-yard dash. A multi-sport athlete, he also competes in the 100 meters on the track, posting a personal best of 11.04 seconds.

On the field, Sellars hauled in 50 catches for 975 yards and 10 touchdowns last season. His combination of length, speed, and route-running polish made him one of the most sought-after playmakers in the Southeast.

The Tigers continue to build momentum on the recruiting trail, with Sellars’ pledge pushing them deeper into the mix for a top-10 class nationally.
