Three burning questions for Clemson heading into Spring Practice

A new season has filled the spring air in Clemson as Dabo Swinney’s bunch prepares to put on their pads for spring practice.

Two months feels like it’s been too long since we’ve seen Clemson’s players in their gear, walking off the field on New Year’s Day after a loss to Alabama. After a busy offseason so far filled with decisions of players leaving, staying, and the signing of a top-10 recruiting class, the Tigers are ready to get back to work.

Good point on the defense, as that side of the ball relies so much on "effort" and "want to". We've seen players at other schools take it easy in their draft season and try to avoid getting hurt. I think some of that is human nature, too.

On the other hand....pretty sure Venables won't allow a let down....

Here are my three questions...

  • Who will replace Dorian O'Daniel? He was a monster and played the game at a high IQ

  • What will the defensive rotation look like and can we preserve our studs for the late season/playoffs?

  • Will Trevor Lawrence redshirt?

O'Daniel is an important piece for sure.

I may be naive, but find it hard to believe Lawrence enrolled early to redshirt....I've been wrong before and have no inside info....

Clemson fans are all over the place...some have him starting, some have him redshirting...
