Clemson drops in latest polls ahead of the ACC Tournament

Clemson basketball dropped to No. 19 in the latest AP poll that was released on Monday afternoon.

The Tigers' regular season ended with a split after a home win over Florida State and then a loss on the road at Syracuse 55-52.

Clemson (22-8, 11-7) finished the season in the top three of the ACC and clinched the No. 4 seed in the ACC Tournament. The Tigers enter postseason play ranked No. 19 in the AP Poll and No. 20 in the Coaches Poll. Brad Brownell's club has been ranked inside the top 20 since the beginning of January.

The ACC has five teams in the AP top 25 this week. Virginia (1), Duke (5), North Carolina (12), Clemson (19) and Miami (24) are all inside the top 10.

Clemson holds wins over top 25 teams North Carolina, Ohio State, Florida, and Miami.

The Tigers await their opponent in the ACC Quarterfinals. Clemson will play either No. 5 NC State or the winner of the first round matchup between No. 13 Georgia Tech and No. 12 Boston College.
