Clemson Sets Three-Point Single Game Program & ACC Record In Win At Chicago St., 97-44

Clemson’s women’s basketball team overwhelmed Chicago State on Sunday with a barrage of three-pointers in Chicago.

Chicago, Ill. – Clemson women’s basketball (10-4, 1-1 ACC) collected 21 3-pointers (Program & ACC Record) in its 10th win of the season at Chicago St. (1-12, NEC), 97-44, at the Jacoby Dickens Center on Sunday afternoon.

The 21 3-pointers by Clemson are the most in a single game across DI this season. It is the most since Tennessee made 30 3-pointers against N.C. Central (December 2024).

The Tigers’ total of 21 3-pointers marked a new program and ACC record. Clemson’s previous team 3-point record was 15 3PM (N.C. State, Dec. 29, 2024). The previous ACC record of 20 3PM was held by Syracuse at North Carolina, Feb. 22, 2018. Clemson won the matchup by 53 points, the fourth-largest margin of victory on the road in program history.

Taylor Johnson-Matthews led at scorers with a season-best 23 points and knocked down a career-high six triples. Rusne Augustinaite (16 points, four 3-pointers, five assists) recorded her sixth game of the year with four-plus 3-pointers. Mia Moore (13 points, 10 assists) recorded her ninth game of the season with five-plus assists and a double-double. Holland Harris added a personal-best 13 points and three triples.

The Cougars were led by a 16-point outing from Keona McGee.

HOW THE GAME WAS DECIDED

The Tigers used an unanswered 16-0 run to take off in the second quarter, and built their lead to as high as 53 points in the victory.

NOTABLE NUMBERS

The 21 made 3-pointers by Clemson is the most in a single game across DI this season. It is the most since Tennessee made 30 3-pointers against N.C. Central (December 2024).

Johnson-Matthews led at scorers with a season-best 23 points and knocked down a career-high six triples.

Augustinate (16 points, four 3-pointers, five assists) recorded her sixth game of the year with four-plus 3-pointers.

Moore (13 points, 10 assists) recorded her ninth game of the season with five-plus assists and a double-double

Harris added a personal-best 13 points and three triples.

The Tigers are on a five-game win streak, the longest of the Coach Poppie Era.
