Clemson, S.C. – The Clemson Athletics family mourns the loss of women’s basketball alumna Quinyotta Pettaway ’14, who passed away on Saturday.
A native of Hertford, N.C., Pettaway was a member of the Clemson women’s basketball program from 2010-14 under previous head coach Itoro Coleman.
During her collegiate career, Pettaway appeared in 107 games, making 57 starts and totaling 857 career points while averaging 8.0 points and 6.3 rebounds per game.
Her 108 career blocks rank 10th all-time in program history, and her 675 career rebounds rank 11th all-time. During her collegiate career, Pettaway logged 14 double-doubles, which is the 16th most in program history.
During her time as a Tiger, Pettaway was also named a 2010-11 ACC Academic Honor Roll Recipient and earned the Clemson Women’s Basketball Most Improved Player Award in 2012.
Before her time at Clemson, Pettaway attended Perquimans High School, where she was named the Four Rivers Conference Player of the Year as a dual sport athlete for basketball and volleyball during her senior campaign.
Most recently, Pettaway served as the head women’s basketball coach of her alma mater, Perquimans High School.
