The first major question surrounding LSU as preparations begin for the Sept. 5 showdown with Clemson is the health of quarterback Sam Leavitt.

After one practice, LSU head coach Lane Kiffin offered an encouraging answer.

Leavitt, who transferred from Arizona State after an injury ended his 2025 season, participated as LSU opened fall camp, and Kiffin said the quarterback looked as good as he has since arriving in Baton Rouge.
