Two Clemson quarterbacks on list of top quarterbacks in college football for 2018
An NFL Draft where we saw five quarterbacks, two of which were Heisman Trophy winners, taken in the first round has come and gone and it's only fitting people are starting to look forward to next year's top quarterbacks.
Sportingnews.com compiled a list of who the top quarterbacks in the nation for 2018 are right now. Alabama has two quarterbacks positioned in the top 25, Jalen Hurts at No. 11 and Tua Tagvailoa at No. 2.
But Clemson has two quarterbacks listed as well.
At the No. 25 slot sits freshman Trevor Lawrence. He hasn't taken an official snap yet, but after a spring game performance where he threw for 11 completions on 16 attempts, 122 yards, and a touchdown, Sporting News "couldn't help it" when compiling their list.
The hype surround Lawrence grows on a daily basis but Kelly Bryant has turned some heads as well. Bryant is listed as the No. 13 quarterback in the country after his acheivements as a first-year starter.
"The competition with Trevor Lawrence will make headlines, but for now Bryant is the guy to lead Clemson in another ACC championship run," the article says.
More notable quarterbacks on the list are South Carolina's Jake Bentley at No. 17, N.C. State's Ryan Finley at No. 21, Miami's Malik Rosier at No. 23, and Georgia's Jake Fromm at No. 3.
