3-star safety commits to Clemson

Clemson picked up their third commitment in less than 24 hours when Ray Thornton‍ out of Phenix, Alabama committed to the Tigers via Twitter. Thornton chose the Tigers over numerous Power 5 offers including Duke, Auburn and Georgia Tech.

Thornton's commitment brings Clemson 2019 class to 18 players. Thornton and current Clemson signee Justyn Ross‍ were teammates in high school.

As we mentioned yesterday in the forums, Thornton announced his offer from Clemson and less than 24 hours later he made his commitment official.
