Former Clemson Tiger Shaq Lawson has given back to his hometown community of Central, South Carolina in a big way.

Lawson, now with the Buffalo Bills as a defensive end, funded a new scoreboard for the Central Tigers recreation league football team in memory of his late father Lawrence. Lawson's father was a longtime coach and referee with the Central Recreation Department.

During his first two years in the NFL with the Bills, Lawson has played in 21 games at defensive end, picking up 46 tackles and six sacks. Lawson was the 19th pick in the 2016 NFL Draft.

During his three seasons at Clemson, Lawson was credited with 123 tackles and 20 sacks. Lawson helped lead the Tigers to a 14-0 regular season in 2015 and a berth in the College Football Playoff National Championship.
