Mike Williams to host FREE youth football camp today

Former Clemson star Mike Williams will hold a FREE youth camp today in his hometown at Lake Marion High School today. The camp is free for kids ages 6-17 and you can register on-site beginning at 8 a.m. Saturday morning. The address for Lake Marion's stadium is 3656 Tee Vee Road, Santee, SC.

We had a chance to catch up with Mike earlier in the week and have the full interview coming out later.

What's it like being able to give back to your home community?

"it's amazing. Ever since I got the opportunity to give back, I always wanted to do something big. I feel like having these kids come out Saturday is going to be a big event and a chance for me to show them how I got through my adversity."

DId you ever get to do things like this when you were growing up?

"Nah, when I was coming up, there wasn't anyone who had a camp. I always wanted that. So being the role model in my community, I know kids are looking up to me. I felt like I needed to have a camp. I went to Alshon Jeffery's camp last year and I said to myself that I wanted to do the same thing in my community."
