Clemson Football Lands 2019 Four-Star Safety
Clemson has landed the commitment of four-star 2019 safety Joseph Charleston of Milton High School (Alpharetta, GA). Charleston is an ESPN Jr. Top 300 prospect and one of the top junior defensive backs. Charleston becomes the first commitment for Clemson's 2019 recruiting class.
Michael Felder from the Bleacher Report told our Lawton Swann in an exclusive interview described Charleston as, "A speedster that can move around. He can go play. He was a little bit like Richie LeCounte, in terms of what he can do. Richie is a freshman safety at Georgia right now. He's got a lot of the same skillset that can impact the game. Can help you out against the pass, can help you against the run. But certainly, he's at his best when he can run around in the backend."
Charleston, a 6'2", 190-pound safety is a four-star according to 247, Rivals, Scout and ESPN. He holds offers from Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina, West Virginia and Vanderbilt in addition to the Tigers.
With his commitment to Clemson, Charleston is shutting down his recruiting.
