Clemson falls in the latest AP and Coaches Polls

The second-ranked Clemson Tigers weren't the only top ten team to drop a game this past weekend. The Tigers were joined by #5 Washington, #8 Washington State, and #10 Auburn as top ten teams who stumbled.

Much like last season, because of other losses around them, Clemson benefitted by not falling too far in the rankings. The Tigers are currently #7 in the AP Poll and #8 in the Coaches Poll.

Clemson has a bye this weekend and will face Georgia Tech on October 28th in Death Valley. That following Tuesday the first release of the 2017 College Football Playoff Rankings will take place.

Take a look at both the AP and Coaches Poll

The 2017 College Football Playoff Rankings will be published six times in 2017, including Selection Day, Sunday, December 3.

The dates will be as follows:

  • October 31
  • November 7
  • November 14
  • November 21
  • November 28
  • December 3 (Selection Day and Playoff Semifinal teams announced)

Based on what we did and how we played I'd say that these rankings are fair.
This ain't my first rodeo.

Go tigers!

I tend to agree. We still have one of the best bodies of work. I hate that we played poorly, but maybe that was best with three tough games looming.
