
Former Clemson basketball star K.J. McDaniels waived by Toronto
Former Clemson basketball player K.J. McDaniels was waived by the Toronto Raptors on Sunday. McDaniels signed a partially guaranteed one-year deal in August but did not make any appearances through the first two games of the regular season.
According to CBS Sports, "McDaniels was buried on the depth chart on the wing and hadn't seen the floor over the Raptors first two games of the season. McDaniels could field some interest elsewhere in the NBA, but if not, he'll likely head to the G-League in an attempt to restore his value."
McDaniels was the 32nd pick in the 2014 NBA Draft of Philadelphia 76ers was traded following his rookie season. Since then, he has seen limited playing time with the Houston Rockets, Brooklyn Nets and now the Toronto Raptors.
