Javan White Transferring from Clemson

CLEMSON, S.C. — Graduate forward Javan White will transfer from Clemson University, head coach Brad Brownell announced on Thursday. 

“I would like to thank Javan for all the hard work he has given our program this past season and wish him well in the future,” Brownell said.

White, an Ames, Iowa native, appeared in 33 games last season for the Tigers and made two starts, averaging 8.4 minutes per contest. White scored a season-high 10 points and grabbed a season-high seven rebounds against Pittsburgh on Jan. 29. He averaged 2.0 points, 2.0 rebounds and blocked 12 shots.

White has appeared in 31 games and made two starts this season. He scored a then-season-high seven points against NC Central on a perfect 3-for-3 shooting. Those three made field goals are a season-high. He also grabbed a season-best six rebounds in that contest against the Eagles. He blocked a season-high two shots against NC Central. He has played double-digit minutes in 10 contests this season. He posted six points and four rebounds including an assist off the bench against Georgia Tech (Jan. 16). He scored a season-high 10 points and grabbed seven boards against Pittsburgh (Jan. 29). He grabbed four rebounds against North Carolina (March 2), three of which came on the offensive glass. He also posted four points against the Tar Heels.
