Kickoff times for three Clemson football games announced
The defending national champions will open the 2019 season on August 29th against Georgia Tech on the brand new ACC Network at 8:00 p.m. in Death Valley, which was announced yesterday. Clemson defeated Georgia Tech 49-21 in Atlanta last year as Trevor Lawrence threw for four touchdowns.
Kickoff for the following week’s game against Texas A&M will be a 3:30 p.m. kickoff as the Aggies and Tigers meet for the second straight year. Clemson survived Texas A&M 28-26 last year in the final seconds as K’Von Wallace intercepted a potential game tying two-point conversion to preserve the victory. The game will be televised by ABC.
Clemson’s first road test of the year will come at Syracuse, which will be a 7:30 p.m. kickoff on ABC. This game has been split the last two years as the Tigers defeated the Orange thanks to a late touchdown by Travis Etienne. The Tigers’ last regular season loss came at the hands of the Orange in 2017 in the Carrier Dome.
