The Storylines

Clemson attempting to win its 23rd consecutive game, dating to the start of the 2018 season, to extend the longest winning streak in school history and second-longest winning streak in ACC history.

The Tigers are also attempting to win a 17th consecutive ACC regular-season game for the second time in school history (20 from 1981-84).

Entering the week, Clemson is the only team in the country with six wins against Power Five opponents this season. Clemson has won those six contests by an average of 25.7 points. Clemson also looks to open a season 8-0 for the eighth time in school history, joining the 1948, 1981, 2000, 2011, 2015, 2016 and 2018 campaigns.

With a win tonight, Clemson would win their 20th consecutive home game. Clemson's last home loss came on Nov. 12, 2016, against Pitt. The current 19-game streak is the fifth home winning streak of at least 10 games in school history, joining streaks of 21 games (2013-16), 15 games (1927-30), 13 games (2011-12) and 11 games (1989-91). The streak is tied for the second-longest active streak in the country.

Clemson is also attempting to win its ninth consecutive game against Boston College, dating back to 2011. The Tigers’ eight-game winning streak against the Eagles is its second-longest active streak against an ACC opponent, trailing Clemson's 10-game active winning streak against Wake Forest.

That's the end of the first quarter from Death Valley and BC is putting together an impressive drive here. It'll be interesting see how the Tigers respond backed up at the goal line.

BC took a page out of Clemson's playbook with the sprint out draw for a walk in touchdown for A.J. Dillon. 17-7 Clemson now early 2nd.

What a game. That is what Tiger Nation was waiting for. What this team is capable of. Last week I complained about the lack of patience in play calling. This week play calling and TL16 took what the defense was giving them and let the playmakers make plays. That defense just keeps showing out! A ton of 3 and outs. Glad to see Overton have a big game.

Great win!
