Athlon Sports, 49-13 Clemson

What they said:

“Boston College should be feeling very good about itself after the convincing win over NC State. But this will be vastly different. The Tigers have a good enough secondary that they can match up man-to-man on the Eagle receivers, load the box, and stop the run. Or at least slow it down enough. BC’s only hope defensively is for Clemson to make several mistakes and give away possessions. While that’s possible, it’s a plan based more on hope than anything else. Clemson will take care of the ball and score plenty of points to win going away.”

Tanner Muse returns an interception against Louisville last season.

Bleacher Report, 42-14 Clemson

What they said:

“Trevor Lawrence is battling a sophomore slump. No question about it. Clemson's defense is bailing him out, though, holding six of seven opponents to 14 points or fewer. Boston College has a terrific running game, but Lawrence should still be effective enough opposite a defense allowing 8.2 yards per pass to lift the Tigers.”

College Football News, 45-14 Clemson

What they said:

“It’s Clemson, It’s going to be okay.

It might not be the quite as sharp overall as it needs to be, and it might still be tweaking and adjusting to get the defense up to national championship snuff, but it’s still really, really, really good.

Dillon will get bottled up, there won’t be a BC passing game to make up for it, and the Clemson running game that’s been ramping it up will push for close to 300 yards for the third game in a row.

And that Lawrence guy will be okay, too.”

USA Today, 48-10 Clemson

What they said:

“Back CLEMSON -33.5 (-105). The Tigers have dominated the rivalry matchup in recent years and they'll be able to focus entirely on Dillon to shut down the Eagles' one-dimensional offense.”
