Terrell McIntyre on 1996 North Carolina win: "We knew the significance of that game"

As a native of Raeford, N.C., McIntyre grew up following North Carolina basketball, so he was more than ready to face the Tar Heels in the ACC Tournament at the end of his freshman year in 1996. 

“I was excited,” McIntyre said. “I remember that game because I was on that path proving everybody wrong. Anytime I played a North Carolina school in my freshman year, I was ready, especially UNC. I grew up an hour away from the Dean Dome if that.
