Clemson safety ends career
Clemson safety Ben Batson is giving up football. According to Scott Keepfer of The Greenville News, Batson has suffered severs concussions during his career.
Batson is the son of Clemson's strength and conditioning coach Joey Batson. He announced his decision to step away from football on Thursday night via Instagram.
“The game ends for us all eventually. It’s been an amazing journey with lots of great memories! It’s tough to let it go but God never says oops. Excited for the next chapter 🙏🏻”
The former Daniel High and Dorman High standout also spent time at quarterback during his seasons in Tiger Town. He was transitioning to safety for the 2020 season.
