In a story posted by CNN, several Houston area families have been evicted from their homes after facing financial hardships due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. That story came across one rather influential resident in the area, former Clemson quarterback and current Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson.

Now the star quarterback, who once lived in a Habitat for Humanity home furnished by former NFL star Warrick Dunn’s foundation, is looking to make a difference in the lives of others in need.

In a tweet posted to Twitter on Thursday night, Watson said that he, “would love to help them get back on their feet.”

Watson and the Texans open the season at Kansas City on September 10. The Texans season ended last year in Arrowhead Stadium after leading 24-0 in the playoffs last season to the Chiefs.
