ESPN's 'College GameDay' will broadcast next weekend from Winston-Salem as the No. 1 Clemson Tigers will take on Wake Forest to open their season.
The GameDay environment will be a unique one as the hosts will be socially distanced at midfield at Truist Field. The backdrop will feature cutouts of fans instead of the normally wild crowds.
Wake Forest’s associate athletics director for fan experience and sales Rhett Hobart told JournalNow.com:
“Obviously it’s going to be a whole new 'College GameDay' experience, but we’re going to try to create the best possible experience for our Wake Forest fans, Wake Forest students, faculty, staff and the entire Winston-Salem community,”
Today, on the first College GameDay of the season, the hosts were all in their homes, except for Rece Davis who was at ESPN’s studios. Lee Corso however was still surrounded by his colleagues on set.
