Kelly Bryant Listed As Number One Heisman Candidate For 2018
Kelly Bryant might not be Deshaun Watson, but he is still receiving some Heisman love just like his former mentor did. According to NFL.com, Kelly Bryant is the number one Heisman candidate for 2018.
Speaking about Bryant, the article states, "Bryant has done an outstanding job taking the reins of Clemson's offense from Deshaun Watson. He's played his best ball down the stretch, scoring 7 TDs (1 rushing) and throwing only 1 INT in the last three games. The team's only loss of the year showed the importance of Bryant to their success, as Clemson fell to Syracuse when Bryant wasn't 100 percent and exited the game after the first half due to injury. He's improving as a passer and has the ability to move the ball on the ground, making the Tigers one of the top picks to return to the playoff in 2018."
So far this season, Bryant is 244-362 (67.4%) for 2,678 yards with 13 touchdowns and 6 interceptions. He has also rushed for 646 yards on 173 attempts with an additional 11 touchdowns.
