Five-Star Defensive End K.J. Henry Signs With Tigers

Five-star defensive end K.J. Henry signed with the Tigers, giving Clemson two of the top players at that position in the country. It is the first time Clemson has signed two five-star defensive ends in one class.
Henry, a 6'5", 235-pound prospect from North Carolina chose the Tigers over Alabama and Georgia.
Before he made his decision, Henry wanted to let the spotlight shine on someone else.
"There is a coach who's made it really exciting for me to come to practice every day," Henry said.
He then invited Patrick Murphy, an assistant coach at his high school who has a mental disability, on stage to congratulate him on being named the CBC Coach of the Year.
Henry then asked his coach, "Do you want to tell them where we are going?"
Coach Murphy made the announcement for Henry:
"Clemson University!"
KJ Henry will make a scary bookend duo along with number one defensive end Xavier Thomas, and the Tigers look loaded on defense for the foreseeable future.
On Monday night, Thomas actually said he expected Henry to sign with the Tigers. You can hear that interview here.
Henry has the prototypical height and frame you want in a defensive end. His length helps him get inside of blockers and hold them off.
He has a lot of upside at defensive end and could turn into an explosive player once he adds some more weight and works on some of his technique.
