Shipley has shown his versatility both on the football field and on the track as he competes in several events. The 5’11, 198- pound prospect brings versatility at running back a valuable asset in today's offensive sets and Clemson's offense suits him perfectly.
While the locker room is expected to be crowded at running back, Shipley told ClemsonSportsTalk.com that he understood the logjam, but that it wouldn't be overly influenced because of competition.
"It is definitely something I will consider coming down the stretch," Shipley said.
Shipley chose the Tigers over Notre Dame, North Carolina, and others.
Shipley, the North Carolina State Player of the Year in 2019, was on campus back in January and came away from the visit feeling great about Tiger Town.
"I loved Clemson. It was a great visit," Shipley said at the time. "My family and I really enjoyed it."
