Derion Kendrick Signs With Clemson

Derion Kendrick has signed with the Clemson, giving the Tigers one of the state's top in-state prospects.

The 6'1", 185-pound receiver committed to Clemson back in January. Kendrick was a big get for Clemson, who went into Rock Hill and got him away from a territory that has traditionally been considered a Gamecock stronghold. 

Kendrick has the ability to be a weapon for Clemson in the future. Kendrick is a two-way player who has good size. He always seems to be in the right place at the right time. His route running is good, and he shows good burst defensively to close on the football. He also has an ability to attack the ball in the air that not many in the class possess. He lacks elite, pull-away speed, but makes up for it with his size, route running and quick burst. He could also play the safety position, but would be better off settling into one position to maximize potential.
