Clemson to Play Host to Northwestern in 2021 B1G/ACC Challenge
CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson women’s basketball team welcomes Northwestern in December as part of the 14th Big Ten/ACC Challenge. The Tigers will square-off with the Wildcats on Thursday, December 2. Tipoff time and network designation will be announced at a later date.
SERIES HISTORY
This will be the fourth meeting all-time between the programs, two of which also came during the Big Ten/ACC Challenge. Clemson finished the shortened 2020-21 season at 12-14 with a WNIT sweet sixteen appearance. Northwestern is coming off a 16-9 season in 2020-21, with a second round appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
THE BIG TEN/ACC CHALLENGE
Clemson is 4-5 overall in Big Ten/ACC Challenge games, most recently falling at Iowa in December of 2019. The Atlantic Coast Conference leads the all-time series with a 9-1-3 record in the Challenge (94 wins, 75 losses), suffering its first overall loss in 2019 (9-5).
