David Ojiegbe is silent no more, he's All In with Clemson
On Wednesday evening, Clemson added four-star defensive end David Ojiegbe (St. John's College, Washington, D.C.) to the 2023 football recruiting class.
Ojiegbe, the second-ranked recruit in D.C., committed live on CBS Sports HQ at 5:30 EST and chose the Tigers over Maryland, Miami, Michigan, UNC, Boston College, and others.
After giving some love to his home state. Maryland, Ojiegbe said, "For the next four years, I will be attending - Clemson University......Go Tigers."
The junior helped St.John's win a league title and finish undefeated at 11-0. He also led the WCAC with 14 sacks and was named first-team All-Met.
Ojiegbe (6'3, 245) is a former teammate of Tigers' junior defensive tackle Tre Williams which undoubtedly helped with his recruitment.
Before announcing his commitment date, Ojiegbe was in the upstate most recently for the Orange and White Spring Game and traveled from D.C. for March's Elite Junior Day, where he subsequently received his offer on March 6.
Ojiegbe becomes the fourth member of the 2023 class joining receiver Nathaniel Joseph, quarterback Christopher Vizzina, and tight end Reid Mikeska.
