Jake Briningstool feeling better in Clemson's offense, thinks he 'can dominate' now

On the different positions he could play:

"I feel that I'm a unique tight-end that can play all over the field. Matchup problems and stuff. Just stretch the field up and help the offense out the best I can."

On the difference in him from last year to this year: 

"Maturity-wise, I feel a lot better about the offense. I feel a lot better about my role, and I feel like the tight ends have a better situation now and the way we are going to be used. I think me and Davis (Allen) are both going to make a big impact. We have a lot more opportunities to open up the passing game and create a mismatch.”

On Cade Klubnik’s development: 

“Cade’s done a great job since he got here. Me and him kind of clicked in the spring game. Then we kept the connection going at practice. I’m excited to see what he can do.”

On being a freshman last season:

"Last year was a lot different than now. My head was constantly spinning, and I didn't really feel confident in what I was going to do. This year I know everything to do, and I can just go out there. The game is a lot slower. I feel like I can go out there and dominate now."

On if the start of school helps them settle in:

"We just finished up camp today. So we are getting back into a routine. School starting tomorrow, I think this will really help us take some of the physical off of our bodies and kick back mentally and really lock in on Georgia Tech."

On possibly playing with Davis Allen at the same time:

"I love Davis like a brother. If we can get out there together, I think we have a lot of opportunities to blow the top off the defenses and put up a lot of points together. I think it will be a lot of fun.”
