Early this week, we had a chance to hear from Clemson WR Brannon Spector as he returned to the field after being out for two seasons due to injuries and COVID-19 issues. Read through a few quick notes or watch the full interview above.

On finally getting back on the field:

”I really didn’t know how long the recovery process was gonna take. It honestly felt like sometimes it was never gonna happen, but for it to happen and me to be back, I’m blessed and just so happy to be back.”

On Clemson’s other Slot Receivers:

”They’re good. I’m learning from them too. Antonio (Williams) is looking great. Watching some of his moves-- he’s helped me out a lot. Him coming here and pushing me and Will (Taylor) as well. All those guys are looking really good. They’ve gotten a lot better since Day 1 to now. I’m really proud of those guys.”

On returning punts:

”I did a little bit of that in high school. I wouldn’t mind doing it here. I think they actually had me blocking, but if I had to do it, I would do it. I totally wouldn’t mind it.”

Clemson WR Antonio Williams stretches prior to practice during Fall Camp.

On Antonio Williams:

”He has a really good influence, he plays with a low pad level, and it’s really hard to tell what’s his next move. Just show his quickness. You can’t really learn from that you just got to have that naturally. Just the way he influences people and works in different moves, he does a really good job finding ways to get open.”

On Will Taylor:

”I hardly got to watch Will Taylor because I was out, but I can definitely tell you he’s made a big improvement just from quarterback to plain wide receiver. It’s hard to make a change like that mid-season. He’s looking a lot better, and I’m proud of him, excited for him through the season.”
