6 Freshmen To Watch For | 2022 ACC Football

With the start of the new season of the ACC, most of the focus is around the returning players all expected to make the leap, or how transfer players can make an impact on their new teams. But there is also a whole new class of freshmen and redshirt freshmen entering the conference and they too are looking to make an impact on the 2022 season.

Redshirt freshman Drake Maye has been named the starting quarterback at North Carolina. Clemson's Cade Klubnik is another quarterback many people believe could see playing time this season. Clemson's Antonio Williams is a talented wide receiver who could make a major impact on the Tigers. At Florida State, Azaraye'h Thomas is a defensive back that many people believe that it is not a matter of when not if he will be starting games this season. Vincent Anthony Jr. is a true freshman who has already won a starting spot along the Duke defensive line. And North Carolina running back Omarion Hampton is a talented back who is already making an impact on UNC's season.
