On Furman game performance:

”Thought it was solid-- left some plays out there-- but for the most part, that’s what I expected. Thought I played a solid game, wish I had that turnover back on the slant. Wish I would have just thrown it to the outside guy. That’s probably the one play I really wish I had back, but overall thought it was a good game today.”

On second-half momentum:

”The first drive we played good. We scored a touchdown. We did a really good job running the rock right there with Will-- he pounded it in right there. The offensive line made some really big holes. The second drive, we shot ourselves in the foot on the first play. I feel like on the stutter to E.J. Williams, it was a solid ball, I maybe could have led him down the field a little bit more, but we just got to make plays like that. We just didn’t make the plays that we did in the first half, and we shot ourselves in the foot. I threw a pick, and it shut down the drive.”

On Beaux Collins:

”I think his consistency. That’s a guy that’s been really consistent about his job, about his work on the field and off the field in the classroom. I think the biggest thing ever since high school since I’ve known him, he’s been consistent. He just goes to work, puts his head down, and just comes out to work every day.”

On Improvements before Louisiana Tech:

”Coming into that one play with the slants and then putting it on his body, decision making still. There’s one time where I had a draw-- I could have gotten a first down, and it ended up being a third down. I think we to just trust the players on the running, hitting, reading my guard, reading centers. Continue to keep scrambling and making plays with my feet and continue to just give people a chance.”

On the Interception:

”It was on me. Spector did the right thing. I ran 26-invert-weak right there. Backside and free side safety came down, I thought I saw a guy come, and I should’ve put the ball on his body more or just went to the hitches. It was just a bad ball, bad decision by me.”
