No. 1 Clemson to Take on UAB Tuesday Night
CLEMSON, S.C. — The No. 1 Clemson Tigers continue their road trip on Tuesday to take on the UAB Blazers in Birmingham, Ala. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. with the match slated to stream on ESPN+.
The Tigers enter the match as the top-ranked team in the nation and look to build upon their 5-0-0 start. Most recently, Clemson earned a 2-1 victory at Boston College to open ACC play. Adam Lundegard's first career goal came in game-winning fashion as the Tigers held on for the road win.
Clemson is 2-2 all-time against UAB, with the total goals in the series even at six apiece. Most recently, the Tigers defeated the Blazers 2-0 at home in 2020.
Tigers’ standout Ousmane Sylla has led the way for Clemson, scoring three goals and notching five assists in just five matches thus far. He has tallied a point in every contest this season, and had four points on Tuesday against UNC Asheville for the second time, as well as the game-winning assist to Lundegard against Boston College.
He is joined at the top of Clemson's scoring leaderboard by senior forward Mohamed Seye, who has assisted on each of Sylla's three goals. He's added two of his own and has also earned four points in two matches, bringing his point total on the season to eight.
UAB enters Tuesday's matchup 2-2, and is looking to bounce back from a 2-0 loss to Wisconsin on Friday night.
