Our Take:
Luke Winstel
I first saw Shelton Lewis play in the 7on7 circuit with Cam Newton’s team in May. Lewis stood out as a humble but confident corner willing to step up to any challenge on the field.
When asked what makes him stand out, Lewis told Clemson Sports Talk, "Being able to run with anybody and [I] can move my feet," he said. "Just running with anybody, no matter who it is."
Lewis adds some serious speed to the Clemson secondary. It’s a common theme today. The three-star is a GHSA 400-meter state champ.
He committed to Clemson over Arkansas, Boston College, Pittsburgh, UNC, and Vanderbilt. He was once committed to Pittsburgh but decommitted on June 26. Lewis took his first-ever visit to Clemson for the All-In Cookout on July 25 and received an offer.
The three-star has shown the ability to shine in big moments and consistently make plays against some of the top offenses in Georgia throughout the past two seasons.
Morgan Thomas - Plays both WR and DB. Extremely fast outside guy. Does not get lost in 1 on 1s.Will stick to your hip the entire route. Little smaller frame that he will need to fill out and maintain speed. Very opportunistic defender looking to take the ball away and return. Speed top for him. Size is a limiter on outside. Will likely need to adjust to inside defender role but not a NB/LB guy.
