In High School: Helped Rome to 12-2 record in 2022 when the team reached the Georgia state semifinals … part of a squad that finished ranked 16th in the state by MaxPreps … had strong senior season with 68 tackles, 25 of which were tackles behind the line of scrimmage … contributed 10 sacks and two interceptions and a 32-yard interception return touchdown in 2022… played defensive tackle and defensive end … all-state honoree as a junior and senior … named all-region his final three years … had 43 tackles, including nine tackles for loss and a sack, and two pass breakups as a sophomore in 2020.

Green is a nasty defensive lineman who ripped apart Georgia high school offenses this fall. His relentless motor stands out even in Clemson’s class of prized defensive line prospects. 

With multiple impact defensive linemen likely departing after the Orange Bowl, Green will have an opportunity to compete for meaningful playing time this summer. His ability to blow up the interior of an offensive line and collapse the pocket can help the Tigers maintain an elite level of defensive line play.

While Tomarrion Parker, Peter Woods, and Victor Burley get a lot of headlines in this class- it’s essential to understand that Green is on a similar level and has the intangibles to be successful in the ACC. Green would be the top defensive line recruit for dozens of Power Five Schools, which shows the embarrassment of riches coach Nick Eason and the Clemson staff have accrued in this cycle.

Morgan Thomas - Sheds through interior offensive line quickly. Has ability to chase down RBs in backfield. Disruptor. Hard to move and a force on the goalline. Uses a violent two hand push off the ball. Inside bully looking to hit and move quick to the ball. Also likes to switch up to a swim move to trick OL. Recognizes double teams presnap. Must send two full blockers. Chip blocks do not work well.
