The Captial One Orange Bowl is the last Clemson game for two players on the Tiger's offense as tight end Davis Allen and left tackle Jordan McFadden told the media today that they would be focusing on turning pro in 2023. The main question for the spring will be who will step up and become the next star at tight end and left tackle for Clemson.
Davis Allen quotes:
"This is it for me, so I graduated on the 22nd and just recently got engaged too," Allen said. "I'm going to give the NFL a shot. I'm going to train and do pro day and all that. I think I would regret it if I didn't give it a shot. And see where that goes. That's the plan for right now."
"The only focus I had this year was this team," Allen said. "That other stuff will take care of itself. "I’ll start worrying about that next week after this game gets over with. But right now I’m just focused on winning this game and hanging with my teammates."
Jordan McFadden quotes:
"This is the last time riding with these guys," McFadden said. "For me, I am just trying to take it all in and make the most of the opportunity."
"This will be it for me,' McFadden said. Being a place for so long, it gets hard to leave. I feel like it's time for me to move on and try my chances in the pros."
