Clemson’s 2025 recruiting class kicked things off quickly, with their first commitment coming from four-star running back Gideon Davidson.
Davidson is a remarkable running back and will bring his explosive talents to the football fields at Clemson. Under the guidance of lead recruiter C.J. Spiller, Davidson, secures Clemson’s RB spot for the 2025 class.
“He's a humble person, who has been there and done what I hope to do one day,” Davidson noted of Spiller.
The two clearly have a good relationship, as Davidson told ClemsonSportsTalk.com recently that he enjoyed watching Spiller during Clemson’s spring game-- noting that Spiller’s “body language and hype” stood out to him.
“I like his competitive spirit,” Davidson stated. “He was calm under pressure coaching on the sidelines during the spring game.”
The star running back picked up an offer from Clemson earlier this month after a visit to Dabo Swinney’s Camp. Standing at an impressive 6'0 and weighing 195 pounds, with two years of high school football left, Davidson should be primed to make an impact for the Tigers once he arrives on campus.
Clemson's coaching staff, led by Swinney, has a remarkable track record of nurturing talent and helping players reach their full potential. Under their mentorship, Davidson can refine his skills, expand his knowledge of the game, and become an even more formidable presence on the gridiron.
