Clemson lands 4-Star 2024 DE Darien Mayo
The Clemson football program added a huge commitment today as Darien Mayo, an outstanding football recruit, announced his intentions to join the Tigers' football program. Hailing from Olney, MD, Mayo brings an exceptional skill set and unwavering determination to the team.
Mayo told ClemsonSportsTalk.com back in May he really enjoyed his visit to Tiger Town.
“My favorite part was attending Coach Dabo Swinney's house and him offering me,” Mayo noted. “The whole visit was great.”
The star defensive end also told us the people in and around the Clemson program stood out to him.
“Clemson is a great place with great coaches, and I can't wait to get back down here.”
At 6’7 and weighing 250 pounds, Mayo’s physical prowess is matched only by his passion for the game.
With Clemson's legacy of success and commitment to developing well-rounded athletes, it is the perfect fit for Mayo's commitment to the game, which aligns seamlessly with Clemson's culture, making this partnership a winning combination.
