Postgame: Brad Brownell talks Notre Dame; Donte Grantham Injury
Opening Statement: |
"Great win today. Hard fought against a very tough-minded team. As you would expect, Notre Dame battled. They are hard to play against. They play small; they play big. They've got tough kids with really good guard play. They are a handful. But our guys kept battling all day. Defensively I thought our discipline was great. We followed our plan well. We had spurts of good offense. We had spurts of bad offense, but we were able to withstand it because of our defense."
On Donte Grantham's Injury: |
"Thoughts and prayers are with Donte, and we are hoping for good thoughts. I don't know anything, but we hope that turns out well."
On Aamir Simms: |
"Proud of Aamir and the way he stepped up. He's really had a great two weeks of practice. He's really playing with much more confidence. I just kept telling him, 'You are ready for this moment. It's not too big for you, go make plays,' and thankfully he was ready, and he did it."
