On what changed at halftime: “I feel like we just had to tighten up and realize that awe do this every day in practice. Like the routine plays we were missing-- the simple mistakes last weekend and the first half of this game-- just realize what they are and attack it.”

On being counted out: “We try our best not to listen to it. You know, it gets through and gets to us, obviously. It's kind of frustrating because of all the hard work we put in. I feel like it’s kind of ridiculous. Whoever quits on us, they’re not a real fan.”

On fans saying he’s not getting separation: “Just charge it to the game. A lot of people are critics. There are certain plays where I may be double-covered. I’m not like the fastest guy on the team, so it’s expected. It comes with it for sure.”

On having a big game: “It’s been a long time coming. Having an injury last year. Having to sit out some games. I’ve just been hungry. It’s exciting to go out here and make plays for my teammates, my family, Coach Swinney, Coach Grish-- just all the hard work paying off.”

On the rocky start: “We’ve been preaching all week-- energy and bringing the juice on the sideline-- so we never got down throughout the game. We always knew that we could fight back. So we kept our energy high the entire game. That really boosted us when we were down.”

On what stood out: “How about our d-line? It was like running into a brick wall, like every play. They were trying to go outside, but they couldn’t. The defensive line, they make it easier for me as a linebacker.”

On what he learned about the team: “This team is going to respond. I promise you that. No matter what happens-- bump in the road-- we are going to get back up and keep fighting, just like Rocky. Coach Swinney always talks about Rocky and how he’s always going to get up. That’s how I would describe us, too.”

On his interception return for a touchdown: “So I turned around, and I just see Jeadyn Lukus blow this dude up and I’m like-- the ball is in my hands. So I turn around and I’m like there is no one in front of me. I felt like Will Shipley-- I told him that, too. I didn't look that fast because I was trying to set up my blocks. I was running and like, why is no one coming to get me?”
