Tyler Brown says Clemson's 2027 Class is 'different' after freshman show out vs. GT
On his great touchdown catch: “I mean it took me a second to process it. When it happened, I see my QB celebrate with me, I was like oh yeah that’s going everywhere. We’re going viral with that one. Two feet in. You know that good on Sundays, man that’s what we always aim for. Good on Sundays. Honestly man, the play design wasn’t even supposed to be a pass to me. We’re just looking for Beaux on a slant. I see my QB scrambling, scramble with him, scramble drill you know. Tell him, give me a chance, he gives me a chance, and I make it. It’s definitely up there. I can’t think of any right now, so we going to say yeah.”
On the freshman class: “That ‘27 class is different man. Our redshirt freshman. Our true freshman. We’re different man. We got some dogs and when we get our moment, we going to make it happen.”
On his mindset this season: “I’m a winner, so I want to do whatever I can do to help the team win. Unfortunately, some of our players got early in this season. So, they gave me a chance to shine. But, I’m ready to back up my guys. Like, I was ready to back up Antonio Williams man, I’m supporting him. I’m a team player, so whatever I can do to help my team win I want to do that.”
On Coach Dabo Swinney’s message through the season: “Definitely tha push we needed man. We all needed that challenge. We weren’t playing our best football and he pointed us out about it. That’s what a great coach would do. He’s going to keep it real with everyone. That challenge definitely gave us the momentum boost that we needed. We’re rolling right now.”
